About Four Seasons Sotheby's International Realty
A History
New London Agency was founded by Calvin Sargent in 1907. At that time much of the area’s real estate was concentrated in large parcels of farmland. It was only a matter of time before well to do weekenders from Boston, New York City and even Washington D. C. discovered Lake Sunapee. Families would arrive by train and spend their entire summer on their favorite lake. In 1947 the company was acquired by the Lamson/Perkins family.
Sisters Pam Perkins and Stephanie Wheeler represent the third generation in their family to own and operate Four Seasons Sotheby’s International Realty. Pam and Stephanie worked side by side with their parents throughout the 1980's and 1990's and took ownership of New London Agency in 1995. In 2009, New London Agency became the exclusive representative of Sotheby’s International Realty throughout the region. By the spring of 2012 the company realized it had outgrown its name. Thus the decision was made to change the name to Four Seasons Sotheby’s International Realty to better reflect the greater region we serve.
